Does anyone know if the 02 car was disqualified last night (07/02/11)? If so was it for dumping car 21? Because he was up to his door and the "Chop Master" did his thing and turned left!!

who the f is knocking the 12, go drink a beer, smock your weed, and get over it will ya, the kid is good, leave him alone, you obviously run your feature in the walmart parking lot. also, some one was talking about great drivers from hudson, derek being one of them, along with my self ha ha, where the hell is pete, is he ok, does any one no.

I think the point everyone here is missing is that even if Derek's tires were soaked (which i doubt, never seen a durometer at tech but could be wrong) and even if he had a sprint cup motor the kid was racing a fwd thunderlight two years ago and can still wheel the thing around. It doesn't matter how much hp you have it you can't control it, just go to any other track and see how many "young guns" are out there in ridiculous fast cars and can barely stay on the track. Kudos to Derek for being able to wheel that thing around with only two years racing experience! And Kudos to his dad for being able to set that car up for Derek to run that well. Good job guys

Re:12 I saw that car go over the scales and it was 1371 thats 21 lb's over weight... so stop starting trouble. What is the motor rule?? (4412 carb) Stop crying and try to beat him. I see what everone is talking about... no one uses a real name to make bad coments or point fingers.

I know for a fact that you've never raced on them tires! id love to see one of them take that bet and end up flopping around the track like a goldfish on a counter top.

i know a fact....

you could put 13 inch doughnut tires on the 24-57-42-21 and they would still lap the 10-60 its not the tires you fool.why dont u pick a new hobby leave all the kids in the thunder lights and outlaws alone ... jackass.

Rules again
07-01-2011 4:56:56 PM EST
Confiscate the tires, that will teach the PARENTS a lesson real fast about disregarding the rules.

07-01-2011 4:54:04 PM EST
Carlos and the 60 car are the only Thunder Lighta that are even close to legal! 24, 57, 42 and 21 DQ right off the bat! I QUOTE THE RULES HERE "Only tires permitted are standard, passenger car radial tires rated for highway use. Minimum tread wear number must be at least 140, 65 or 70 series ONLY" A falken Azenis RT615 is a 60 series tire! Should be DQ'ed right away. Going out and buying $100 tires when the rule is written in a way you can slap junk yard tires on a car and go should be grounds for DQ right away. Period. thats not something you have to know about to properly TECH a car... it says right on the sidewalls 195-60-14 86H

First of all show up with what you can race! Tracks are se desperate for cars and over the years Hudson does not push the rules in any way! For one they dont have the resources nor do they have the expertise how to correctly tech a car!

also, in the rules it says toyota but does not list any models on toyota that are aloud. Does that mean ALL Toyota 16Valves are legal?

Yes they are all 16 valves... who cares? if they say Honda CRX and Civic 16 valves are ok their is no reason why we need to be excluding any 4 cyl cars. i think the motor in the g20 is actually the same thing as an Altima. Either way... have you LOOKED at that car? it should not be able to do what it does. Its a Luxury sedan nissan (pretty much) with mulit link suspention. in no way should that dinosaur be able to run that good but Jason has put a lot of time and effort into making it what it is. Give driver credit, Short Track racing wasnt his backround and hes doing awesome. As for The Acura.. its the SAME THING as a Honda 16 valve... no reason to exclude that car either! And im not sure what your on but the last time i opened the hood on my friends Probe that he has let me use.. it only had 4 spark plugs and 4 plug wires... then again I'm a "fat stupid redneck wanna be" acoording to someone here, so maybe you could show me where the other two cylinders and wires are PLEASE!

RE: 16 valves
07-01-2011 8:11:46 AM EST
And what would you like to have run in the roadrunners? look at the majority of 4 cylinder cars made now a days they are all 16 valves, it's either go word for word by the rules or enforce only 8 valve cars and have an even smaller car count.

Re: 16 Valve
07-01-2011 6:12:46 AM EST
rules say vw golf/scirocco is allowed to have a 16v, the jetta is the same thing as the golf with a different body. also the infiniti g20 is the same as a nissan sentra which is also allowed. i dont know about the rest, nobody techs, but who cares. you dont see the current roadrunners complaining.
